Student Visa requirements

- Proof of funds to cover living expenses
- Copy of return flight or evidence of evidence of funds to buy one

- Medical examination (stay for more than 6 moths should be done before submission of visa application)
Genuine Intentions (SOP)
The applicant must show their desire to study within the country addressing the followed questions:
- Why you want to study in New Zealand ?
- Why this provider?
- Why this program of study and what is it ?
Tuition Fees
- Off-shore students are not required to pay the full amount of the program until the visa has been approved
- If the applicant will study multiple courses or a single course for more than one year must provide evidence of enough funds to pay for the first course and explain how futures fees will be paid
Financial requirements
- Tertiary and English language students should have at least $20,000 NZD per annum for study (36 weeks or shorter study)
- School students in years 1 to 13 should have at least $17,000 NZD (36 weeks or shorter study)
Visa options for family of student visa holders
- Partners
- The applicant and the partner must be living together providing evidence of their genuine and stable relationship
- The partner must have at least $ 4200 NZ for staying
- The partner is allowed to study up to 3 months
- Available if the student is studying for:
- A Level 7 (Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma) or 8 (Bachelor Honours Degree, Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma) qualification on New Zealand’s Green List.
- A Level 9 (Master’s Degree) or 10 qualification (Doctoral Degree or PhD).
- Children
- Allows the child to study as a domestic student (free schooling) in New Zealand.
- Eligible if the parent is studying a:
- Level 9 (Master’s Degree) or 10 qualification (Doctoral Degree or PhD).
- A Level 7 (Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma) or 8 (Bachelor Honours Degree, Postgraduate Certificate,

Working rights
- Minimum wage rates : 23.14 NZD
- April 1 , Wage rates: 23.50 NZD
- Student are allowed to work 20 hours per week and full-time during holidays period
- Post study Master or PhD, Post graduate, Diploma and Bachelor Degree and Grand Diploma are allowed to work full time and a three-year visa length

NO their partners and children are not eligible for dependent visas while the student is studying an English program.
